CranioSacral Therapy: Supporting the Body in Letting Go of What It Has Been Carrying

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the body and nervous system through very light, attentive touch. The practitioner listens through their hands for areas of tension, restriction, guarding, and imbalance rather than pushing, manipulating, or forcing change.

The body is given time to respond, space to soften, and an opportunity to move toward greater regulation, comfort, and ease at its own pace.

What makes CranioSacral Therapy especially meaningful is that the person receiving care does not have to perform, explain, or make anything happen. Nothing is demanded of them. The body is allowed to slow down and be listened to. For someone who has spent years bracing, protecting, responding to others, or simply pushing through, that experience can be profound. Sometimes the greatest shift begins when the body realizes it no longer has to work so hard to protect itself. CranioSacral Therapy can be especially supportive for people living with the effects of trauma, chronic stress, pain, grief, injury, and prolonged periods of heightened alertness. These experiences do not affect only the mind. They can also influence the way the body breathes, sleeps, moves, rests, responds to touch, and reacts to the world around it.

During a session, some people notice deeper breathing, warmth, softening, subtle movement, emotional release, or profound relaxation. Others simply notice something they have not experienced in a long time: quiet.

There is no required response and no “right” way to experience CranioSacral Therapy.

A Different Kind of Listening

At its core, CranioSacral Therapy is a form of deep listening.

Instead of beginning with:

“What is wrong with you?”

We approach the body differently:

“What has your body been carrying, and what does it need in order to feel supported?”

We do not force the answer.

We listen.

We create space.

We respect the body's timing.

Whether you are navigating everyday stress, chronic pain, injury, a difficult life experience, or the lasting effects of trauma and service, CranioSacral Therapy offers a place to slow down and receive care.

For those who have spent much of their lives caring for, protecting, or responding to others, that can mean something even more:

A place where nothing is required of you.
A place where you do not have to push through.
A place where your body can finally be heard.

I-Healing Programs

A Personalized, Trauma-Informed Path to Healing

The I-Healing Program provides individuals with trauma-informed care for the physical, emotional, and psychological effects of trauma, chronic stress, pain, and injury.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a foundational part of our programs. Through gentle, hands-on care, CST supports nervous system regulation, reduces patterns of tension and stress, and helps create the stability needed for deeper healing. We believe its greatest potential is realized when the whole person is considered, not just a diagnosis, symptom, or single area of concern.

When needed, participants may also receive additional integrative care, including Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture, Mental Health and Wellness services, and Massage Therapy. These services are incorporated based on each individual’s needs, readiness, and personal healing goals. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, participants move through the Stabilize and Sustain phases with care that can adapt as their needs change.

STABILIZE

The Stabilize phase is designed for individuals who are in crisis or carrying unresolved trauma. This foundational phase focuses on establishing a safe, supportive environment where clients can begin the process of healing both physically and emotionally.

The program includes a series of 6 healing sessions that is  CranioSacral Therapy based, with options to include Acupuncture, Mental Health and Wellness, and Medical Massage Therapy when available. Each session is designed to address the interconnected impacts of trauma on the body, mind, and spirit. A collaborative team of experienced providers works closely with each client, assessing needs, monitoring progress, and tailoring care so that therapies reinforce one another for maximum effectiveness.

This integrative approach not only helps clients manage immediate symptoms such as pain, stress, and anxiety, but also supports long-term recovery, resilience, and overall quality of life. Upon completion of the Stabilize phase, clients may continue to the Sustain phase to deepen healing based on their readiness and individual goals.

Upon program completion, extensions may be granted as needed and if available.

SUSTAIN

The Sustain phase is designed to provide individuals with immersive, choice-driven experiences that support long-term healing, integration, and resilience. These half- or full-day sessions build on the progress made in earlier phases, helping participants consolidate gains, deepen emotional processing, and strengthen coping strategies for life beyond the program.

Rooted in CranioSacral Therapy, the Sustain phase offers small-group, multi-hands, hands-on sessions that support nervous system regulation, reduce trauma-related tension, and facilitate profound emotional release. These sessions are particularly beneficial for Veterans recovering from service-related injuries, post-traumatic stress, or chronic stress, providing a safe and nurturing environment to restore balance and overall well-being.

Each day features a rotating team of experienced, trauma-informed therapists and guided group processes, allowing care to be tailored to each individual’s needs and healing goals. Depending on the location, participants may also have access to complementary therapies such as acupuncture, medical massage, equine-assisted therapy, and outdoor healing spaces that foster connection, grounding, and restoration.
